Want a different theme for your blog?

If you don’t like any of the themes in the theme list (APPEARANCE > THEMES) you can request a theme. How?

Go to Google.com and type in “Free WordPress Themes” (without the quotes). As you probably already know, there are a million free wordpress themes! Go through all of them until you find one you like.

Copy the ABSOLUTE link to the theme you want for your blog.

How to add pictures, video or images to your blog post.

We do not allow uploaded here on this site. BUT YOU CAN STILL ADD IMAGES, MUSIC FILES AND VIDEO FILES!

We suggest using 4Shared.com for all file types. They have basically unlimited space and accept all types of files. They even include the HTML code needed to embed things into your Tpaf.us blog. Rememer anytime you need to insert HTML code into your blog, click the HTML tab (next to the VISUAL tab) when you are writing a page or a post.

Some great places for free image hosting:

  • Photobucket
  • Tinypic
  • Imageshack
  • 4Shared

For music and audio sharing:

  • MediaFire
  • 4shared

For Video Sharing:

  • Youtube
  • Photobucket
  • Tinypic
  • 4shared

If you have your own favorite provider for hosting video, images, and audio go ahead and use them! Make sure they provide you with HTML codes, or at least links to your files for you to share them on your blog.

HAPPY BLOGGING!

How to add the Twitter Widget to your blog

Step one: PICK A THEME THAT LOOKS NICE! The default theme when you first got your blog is crap. Use a nice theme! LOG INTO YOUR CONTROL PANEL GO TO:

APPEARANCE > THEMES

Pick a theme you like and click “ACTIVATE”.

NEXT:

Go to APPEARANCE > WIDGETS

Scroll down the list of widgets. You will see the Twitter widget LAST. It says somthing like “TWITTER #1″. Drag that widget into the RIGHT COLUMN that says Sidebar or Sidebar 1. Twitter widget will automatically open up.

Fill out your Twitter information:

Title:  it can be “My Twitter Feed”, “My Twitter”, or “My Tweets”.  Anything that sums up what the feed is.

Username: type in your Twitter Username

Number of links:  Put in how many tweets you want shown. Don’t go over 50, then it just looks too long.  5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 are good number to choose from. For this blog I chose the number 50.

Check mark all boxed and ignore “Linked”, you don’t need to put anything there.

Click save.

ALL DONE!
